About Me

Hi, I’m Crystal – the only sighted sibling of four. Yes, MyBrothersRBlind, and yes, I have three brothers. These two phrases have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up with siblings who are disabled, I’ve seen firsthand the challenges, gaps, and lack of resources available to individuals, their families, and caregivers. Now, as an HR professional with 20 plus years of experience, I’m combining my personal and professional insights to give back to the blind and low-vision community, as well as their loved ones.

My goal for this site is to create a supportive space where families can ask questions, access resources, and connect with others who share similar experiences. I also aim to empower individuals who are blind or low vision to gain confidence and courage in pursuing their careers, while also fostering connections within the community.

“I raise up my voice-not so I can shout but so that those without a voice can be heard…
we cannot succeed when half of us are held back.”
